Nadine lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband and daughter. Nadine enjoys and loves life in the Oregon country, and does not want to take anything for granted while MAKING EVERYDAY COUNT, and appreciates every moment and learns from it, because she may never be able to experience it again.
Nadine is involved with Tigard CERT (Community Emergency Response Team), participates with Tigard Chief of Police Advisory Committee, volunteered at Providence Newberg Medical Center Emergency Department and Materials Management, active in her church and small Bible study group, assisted the Tigard Police Department by being on the interview panel/police officer oral boards for future police officers, sergeants, and lieutenants, and involved in amateur/ham radio relay group with Tigard CERT and Oregon ARES District-1. Nadine also works at a clinic as a medical assistant.
Nadine is not a writer, but felt she needed to start a journal about her breast cancer for her daughter, cousins, and family members. Follow along as she deals with her new diagnosis of ductal carcinoma in both breasts at the same time, the shock, the emotional roller coaster rides, the struggles of facing controversial choices, the financial costs, and the surgeries being performed.
